Since the sale of Uproxx to Woven Digital in 2014, Myer has served as Woven Digital's general manager of publishing.[3][4] Rawkus RecordsMyer founded independent hip hop label Rawkus Records with partners Brian Brater and James Murdoch in 1996. Myer met his cofounders while attending Horace Mann School.[5] The label's high-volume model of 12-inch releases was based on the strategy of punk rock music labels like SST and Victory.[6] The label became known for producing up-and-coming hip hop artists.[6] Myer and Brater scouted and signed all of the label's acts themselves, including Mos Def and Talib Kweli.[7] The label received financial support first from News Corp and then MCA from 2002 until MCA was absorbed by Interscope Geffen A&M Records in 2004.[8][1] Myer was named on New York magazine's "35 Under 35" list in 2000 for his work with Rawkus Records.[9] UproxxMyer co-founded Uproxx Media in 2008 and served as its CEO until its sale to Woven Digital in 2014.[3][5] Big FrameMyer founded Big Frame with partners Steve Raymond, Brian Brater and Sarah Evershed in 2011.[2] References1. ^1 {{cite news |url=http://www.villagevoice.com/2004-04-20/news/a-fistful-of-mighta-been/1/ |title=A Fistful of Mighta Been |last=Coates |first=Ta-Nehisi |work=The Village Voice |date=April 20, 2004 |accessdate=October 5, 2010}} 2. ^1 {{cite news |title=Big Frame Gets $3 Million to Make a Bigger, Better YouTube Network |author=Joshua Cohen |url=http://www.tubefilter.com/2012/06/27/big-frame-youtube-network-funding/ |work=Tubefilter |date=June 27, 2012 |accessdate=20 October 2015}} 3. ^1 {{cite news |title=Showbiz Site Uproxx Acquired by Guy-Focused Digital Media Firm Woven |author=Todd Spangler |url=https://variety.com/2014/digital/news/showbiz-site-uproxx-acquired-by-guy-focused-digital-media-firm-woven-1201158843/ |work=Variety |date=April 17, 2014 |accessdate=20 October 2015}} 4. ^{{cite web |url=https://www.bloomberg.com/Research/stocks/private/person.asp?personId=262419819&privcapId=262247333&previousCapId=262247333&previousTitle=Uproxx%20Media,%20Inc. |title=Executive Profile:Jarret Myer |author= |date= |work=bloomberg.com |publisher=Bloomberg |accessdate=20 October 2015}} 5. ^1 {{cite news |title=The Doctor Is In |author=John Seabrook |url=http://www.newyorker.com/magazine/2013/10/14/the-doctor-is-in |work=The New Yorker |date= |accessdate=1 February 2016}} 6. ^{{cite news |title=How We Met: Jarret Myer and Brian Brater |author=Dan Stacey |work=The Independent |date=15 September 2002 }} 7. ^1 {{cite journal |title=Bring Da Rawkus |journal=Vibe |pages=64–65 |date=July 1998 |url= https://books.google.com/books?id=kysEAAAAMBAJ&lpg=PA64&ots=yZVeIdtYjJ&dq=jarret%20myer%20the%20independent&pg=PP1#v=onepage&q=jarret%20myer%20the%20independent&f=false |accessdate=January 15, 2011}} 8. ^{{cite journal |last=Hall |first=Rashaun |date=April 13, 2002 |title=MCA Shifts Its Urban Division In New Direction |journal=Billboard |page=6 |publisher= |doi= |url=https://books.google.com/books?id=shAEAAAAMBAJ&lpg=PA6&ots=7nCS_i9GCF&dq=jarret%20myer%20the%20independent&pg=PA6#v=onepage&q=jarret%20myer%20the%20independent&f=false |accessdate=January 15, 2011}} 9. ^{{cite news |first=Vanessa |last=Grigoriadis |url=http://nymag.com/nymetro/news/people/features/2883/ |title=35 Under 35 |work=New York |date=17 April 2000 |accessdate=30 November 2014}} External links
