Jason Stenta (born 11 March 1987 in Binghamton, New York)[1] is an American soccer player who currently{{fact|date=April 2019}} plays for the GBFC Thunder in the National Premier Soccer League.

Career

College and Amateur

Stenta attended Chenango Valley High School in Binghamton, New York, and played 4 years of college soccer at Binghamton University, a Division I program in the America East Conference.[2] During his junior year, he was ranked third amongst Division I school goalkeepers with a .893 save percentage and a .55 goals against average. He holds a school record for 36 shutouts, and made a season-high 10 saves against both Colgate and Maryland.[2]

In 2011, he also was invited and participated in the Columbus Crew preseason of the MLS.

During his college years he also played with the Kalamazoo Outrage in the USL Premier Development League.[3]

Professional

Stenta turned professional in 2010 when he signed with the Pittsburgh Riverhounds of the USL Second Division. He made his professional debut on June 11, 2010 in a game against Harrisburg City Islanders.[4]

Personal

His parents, Liliana and Aquilino Stenta, are from Italy.[1]
