J. Clark Salyer Wetland Management District is located in north-central North Dakota. The District covers {{convert|6543|sqmi|km2|sigfig=3}} in Renville, Bottineau, Rolette, McHenry, and Pierce Counties. Within the District, the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service manages {{convert|27332|acre|km2|sigfig=4}} of waterfowl production areas (WPA), {{convert|128117|acre|km2|sigfig=5}} of wetland easements, {{convert|15231|acre|km2|sigfig=4}} of grassland easements, {{convert|6500|acre|km2|sigfig=2}} of Farmers Home Administration conservation easements, and {{convert|7910|acre|km2|sigfig=2}} of easement refuges.
