Nichols is an American football coach in the United States. Born in Camden, Arkansas and grew up in Searcy, Arkansas where he went to Searcy High School and graduated from Harding University. Nichols stops include Auburn University, Faulkner University, Troy University and Texas Tech University. Bowl games include the Music City Bowl (2003), Sugar Bowl (2005), Capital One Bowl (2006), GMAC Bowl (2010), Ticket City Bowl (2011), Meineke Car Care Bowl (2012). Nichols was a part of the 2004 Auburn Tigers that went Undefeated at 13-0 and won the SEC Championship. Nichols was the Athletic Director for the Mount Dora Christian Academy Bulldogs near Orlando, Florida from 2015 to 2019. Beginning in January 2019, Nichols took the job as Chief of Staff working for Hugh Freeze and the Liberty University Flames in Lynchburg, Virginia. Coaching careerHe was the first ever head football coach for the Faulkner Eagles located in Montgomery, Alabama and he held that position for 2 seasons from 2007 until 2008. His Head coaching record at Faulkner was 3 wins and 18 losses.
