Located along Zuchongzhi Road just east of its intersection with Jinke Road, the station is located between the {{SHM stations|Zhangjiang Hi-Tech Park}} and {{SHM stations|Guanglan Road}} stations. This station, with four exits, is part of the eastern extension of Line 2 from the Zhangjiang Hi-Tech Park station, and opened February 24, 2010. HistoryBy 2008, the Line 2 terminated at the {{SHM stations|Zhangjiang Hi-Tech Park}} station.[1] On February 24, 2010, the line was expanded from that station through the Jinke Road station to {{SHM stations|Guanglan Road}}, which was the formal opening of this station.[2] The extension extended the line to about {{convert|29|km|mi}} which now included 19 stations. The entire metro increased its length to around {{convert|335|km|mi}} which included 223 stations. The opening of Jinke Road alleviated traffic away from the Zhangjiang Hi-Tech Park station and for those commuting to the nearby Pudong Software Park. The extension also included a rebuilding of the Zhangjiang Hi-Tech Park station from February 14 to February 23 to improve power supply and other equipment.[3] Two months later, the line was extended past the station through {{SHM stations|Tangzhen}}, {{SHM stations|Middle Chuangxin Road}}, {{SHM stations|East Huaxia Road}}, {{SHM stations|Chuansha}}, {{SHM stations|Lingkong Road}}, {{SHM stations|Yuandong Avenue}}, and {{SHM stations|Haitiansan Road}} stations to the {{SHM stations|Pudong International Airport}} station, which serves the Shanghai Pudong International Airport.[4] FacilitiesThe station is an island platform with two tracks, one eastbound and one westbound, on either side. The station is located in Shanghai's Pudong New Area, along Zuchongzhi Road between intersections at Jinke Road and Halei Road.[5] Roughly shaped like a rectangle, the station has four exits, two on one end, one at the other and one which exits into the Changtai Plaza ({{lang|zh-hans|长泰广场}}) shopping center. On the west end are Exits 2 and 3, and on the east side is Exit 1. Exit 4 is in the middle on the north side and leads to the neighboring Changtai Plaza. The station is served by bus routes 609 and 636.[5] ServiceAlong Line 2, the Jinke Road station is located between the {{SHM stations|Zhangjiang Hi-Tech Park}} and {{SHM stations|Guanglan Road}}.[6] It takes approximately 55 minutes to ride the train to the {{SHM stations|East Xujing}}, the western terminus, and about 35 minutes to ride to {{SHM stations|Pudong International Airport}}, the east end. The train operates from 5:33 to 22:48 westbound and from 6:25 to 23:40 eastbound.[7] On weekdays, trains leave the station approximately every 3 minutes and 30 seconds during peak hours and every four to ten minutes during non-peak hours. Peak hours are defined as from 7:30 to 9:30 and 17:00 to 19:00 on Monday through Thursday, as well as 7:00 to 9:00 and 12:50 to 20:30 on Friday. On weekends, trains leave the stations every 4 minutes and 5 seconds from 8:00 to 20:30, and every five to ten minutes during other times.[8] References1. ^{{cite map|title=Shanghai Metro|publisher=Schwandl, Robert|date=2008}} 2. ^{{cite news|title=Rail Transit Line 2 to extend from Zhangjiang Hi-Tech Park to Guanglan Road|date=February 22, 2010|author=Li, Xin|url=http://sh.xinmin.cn/minsheng/2010/02/22/3718384.html|accessdate=April 8, 2011|deadurl=yes|archiveurl=https://web.archive.org/web/20100710120840/http://sh.xinmin.cn/minsheng/2010/02/22/3718384.html|archivedate=July 10, 2010|df=}} 3. ^{{cite news|title=Line 2 to extend to Guanglan Road|date=February 2, 2010|url=http://xwcb.eastday.com/c/20100202/u1a690975.html|author=Wang, Guanyu|accessdate=April 8, 2011}} 4. ^{{cite web |author1=Zhou Jian ({{lang|zh|周健}}) |author2=Huang Qiongnuo ({{lang|zh-hans|黄琼诺}}) |url=http://news.163.com/10/0407/11/63LR31FH000146BB.html |script-title=zh:2号线明起通至浦东国际机场 |trans-title=From tomorrow, Line 2 will reach Pudong International Airport |publisher=163.com news |date=7 April 2010}} 5. ^1 {{google maps|title=Jinke Road Shanghai Metro station|url=https://maps.google.com/maps?ll=31.2043514525,121.601964818&z=15|accessdate=April 23, 2011}} 6. ^{{cite map|url=http://www.shmetro.com/zbdt/overall.jpg|title=Map of the Shanghai Metro|publisher=Shanghai Shentong Metro Group|accessdate=April 8, 2011}} 7. ^{{cite web|url=http://www.shmetro.com/node155/node158/201004/con103685.htm|title=Timetable of the First and Last Train for Line 2|author=Shanghai Shentong Metro Group|accessdate=April 8, 2011}} 8. ^{{cite web|url=http://www.travelchinaguide.com/cityguides/shanghai/transportation/subway-line2.htm|date=March 29, 2010|title=Shanghai Subway Line 2|accessdate=April 24, 2011}} External links
