}}Jinshan Railway or Jinshan Line ({{zh|s=金山铁路}}) is a commuter railway line in Shanghai, part of the planned Shanghai Metropolitan Area Intercity Railway. It runs from {{CR stations|Shanghai South}} in Xuhui District via {{CR stations|Xinzhuang}} in Minhang District to {{CR stations|Jinshanwei}} in Jinshan District, crossing the Huangpu River on a dedicated railway bridge. Passengers can transfer to Lines 1, 3 and 5. It was originally built in 1975 as a suburban branch it has since been upgraded into a high-speed commuter rail line which opened on 28 September 2012.[1]

It is the first line to provide "high speed" commuter rail services, with trains travelling up to {{convert|160|km/h|0|abbr=on}}, compared to {{convert|30|–|70|km/h|0|abbr=on}} for regular metro service,[2] shortening the {{convert|56.4|km|abbr=on}} between Jinshan and downtown to 32 minutes travel time for express trains which make no stops, and 60 minutes for other trains, which stop at all stations on the line.

The line was branded as Line 22 before opening.

Stations

  • Trains stop at stations marked "●" and pass those marked "|". "R" stands for express trains (C30xx), "H" stands for semi-express holiday service trains (C32xx), and "L" stands for local service (C36xx).
  • Holiday service schedule is different from regular service. Holiday service is available in weekends, and national holidays.
