}}J. S. R. Chisholm (born 26 November 1926) is an English mathematical physicist. He is currently Professor Emeritus of Applied Mathematics at the University of Kent.^[1]

He developed a method for rational approximations of two variable functions generalising Padé approximant.^[2]
