Reviews“Dreaming is after all a kind of thinking,” Jonathan Aaron writes in this new volume, his third in almost 25 years, and it’s hard to imagine a more succinct statement of his poetic method. Aaron has always used the peculiar instability of poems to his advantage: he builds tension from a poem’s ability to slip on no more than a phrase from the real to the symbolic, from the hypothetical to the unalterable.[8] References1. ^{{cite web|url=http://www.yaddo.org/yaddo/recentworks.asp |title=Yaddo Artists' Recent Works |publisher=Yaddo.org |date= |accessdate=2013-04-30}} {{Authority control}}{{DEFAULTSORT:Aaron, Jonathan}}2. ^http://www.newyorker.com/search/query?query=authorName:%22Jonathan%20Aaron%22 {{dead link|date=April 2013}} 3. ^{{cite web|url=http://www.nybooks.com/authors/248 |title=Jonathan Aaron | The New York Review of Books |publisher=Nybooks.com |date= |accessdate=2013-04-30}} 4. ^{{cite web|url=http://www.lrb.co.uk/contributors/aaro01 |title=Jonathan Aaron · LRB |publisher=Lrb.co.uk |date= |accessdate=2013-04-30}} 5. ^{{cite web|author=the complete review - all rights reserved |url=http://www.complete-review.com/reviews/herbertz/elegy.htm |title=Elegy for the Departure - Zbigniew Herbert |publisher=Complete-review.com |date= |accessdate=2013-04-30}} 6. ^{{cite web|url=http://www.pw.org/content/jonathan_aaron_3 |title=Jonathan Aaron | Directory of Writers | Poets & Writers |publisher=Pw.org |date=2008-06-09 |accessdate=2013-04-30}} 7. ^{{cite web|url=http://www.emerson.edu/writing_lit_publishing/faculty.cfm?facultyID=443 |title=Writing, Literature & Publishing | Emerson College |publisher=Emerson.edu |date= |accessdate=2013-04-30}} 8. ^{{cite journal| url=http://bostonreview.net/BR32.1/microreviews.php| title=Poetry Microreviews| date=January–February 2007| work=Boston Review }} 6 : Living people|University of Chicago alumni|Yale University alumni|Emerson College faculty|Poets from Massachusetts|1941 births |
