History

Jonathan Davis and the SFA went on their first tour in the United States in November 2007, and a European tour in May 2008. Their debut album was planned for a release sometime in 2011 and a North American tour was expected to follow. Jonathan Davis and the SFA have a CD/DVD combo available at [https://web.archive.org/web/20080612141302/http://www.invisiblearts.com/store.html Invisible Arts]. Jonathan's bodyguard and assistant Loc came up with the name of the band. The band has recently used their official website and a Ustream webcast to preview several demos from their upcoming album.{{Citation needed|date=August 2009}} Working titles include "Basic Needs", "Medicate", "Happiness", " Final Days", "Russia", "August 12", and "Gender",{{Citation needed|date=August 2009}} which was previously said to have been inspired by Buffalo Bill and Silence of the Lambs. The band has also recorded 3 other untitled demos.

A cover of Lil Wayne's "Got Money" featuring Slipknot and Stone Sour guitarist James Root was recently made available for download on the band's official website, accompanied by a message from Davis to ". . . download the track I've been remixing the past few days. It's not representative of the album I'm working on but it was just something fun I wanted to try . . ."

Jonathan Davis has expressed interest with working with famed English producer Guy Sigsworth. It should also be noted that Korn drummer Ray Luzier has been recording drums on the debut album.

Percussionist Mike Dillon is expected to appear on the album, as he was seen in the studio tracking.

On a recent studio cam session, Black Light Burns/Limp Bizkit guitarist Wes Borland is seen recording guitars for the album.

According to MTV News,[2] select songs on Jonathan Davis and the SFA's solo debut are being co-written by acclaimed songwriting team, The Matrix, better known for their production on Korn's 2005 album, See You on the Other Side.

In January 2011, Jonathan uploaded 3 full-length songs from the album on SoundCloud titled 'Medicate', 'Happiness' and 'Final Days'.

In December 2017, Davis confirmed that his debut album was to be released in 2018. He also stated that the SFA was no more, having dissolved the band after the death of Shane Gibson.
