[1][2] He also directed the horror film The Descent Part 2 (2009). He was nominated for an Academy Award for Best Film Editing for 127 Hours. CareerHarris received a British Independent Film Award (BIFA) for Best Technical Achievement 2005 for his work on Neil Marshall's The Descent (2005). Harris then made his directorial debut with the sequel Part 2 (2009). In 2011 Harris was nominated for an Academy Award (Oscar) and a British Academy of Film and Television Arts (BAFTA) Award for his editing work on Danny Boyle's 127 Hours (2010) and subsequently became a member of the American Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences (AMPAS). He has a further 12 nominations including a Saturn Award Best Editing nomination for his editing work on The Secret Service (2015) alongside Eddie Hamilton.
