It is located in the Santos Basin, {{convert|37|km|mi|0|abbr=on}} east of Lula, {{convert|5100|m|ft|-1|abbr=on}} below the bottom of the Atlantic Ocean in a water depth of {{convert|2187|m|ft|0|abbr=on}}, {{convert|290|km|mi|0|abbr=on}} from Rio de Janeiro.[1] DescriptionThe main reservoir of Júpiter is the pre-salt Guaratiba Group. The field is estimated to contain {{convert|1600|MMoilbbl|abbr=on}} of oil and {{convert|17|Tcuft|abbr=on}} of gas.[2] See also{{Portal|Brazil|Energy|Geology}}
