He received enlightenment in 1952 from his Guru Yogiji Maharaj in front of the Murti of Shri Ghanshyam Maharaj in Akshar Mandir, Gondal. The Government of India issued a commemorative postage stamp on Kakaji Maharaj in 2003.^[1]
