LifeShe has a BA from Bryn Mawr College and holds and MFA from SUNY Purchase.[1] Her work is held in the collections of the Metropolitan Museum of Art, the Brooklyn Museum of Art, the Portland Museum of Art (Maine), and the Farnsworth Museum (Maine). She lives in New York City and has a painting studio in Williamsburg, Brooklyn. In 2013 she was commissioned to create Calm Waters for the Eskenazi Health Art Collection. She was Senior Critic on the faculty of the Yale School of Art (2016–17),[2] MFA faculty at the Pennsylvania Academy of the Fine Arts[3] in Philadelphia. In 2009 she was a resident faculty at the Skowhegan School of Painting and Sculpture in Maine.
