Early life and educationFox grew up in the suburbs of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, where he started his first business at the age of 15, later graduating from Pennsylvania State University, with a B.S. in economics. He led the formation of The Fox Challenge at Pennsylvania State University. He also received an A.S. degree from CEH Oxford. It has invested in branded consumer companies including Stella & Chewy's, Reformation, Levain Bakery, Califia Farms, ON Running, and SmartWool, internet marketplaces including GrubHub, GoFundMe, Udemy, and Upwork, and SaaS & Internet businesses including Flatiron Health, eMarketer, Remitly, Refinery29, and SPINS.[9] He was Director of Stripes from February 1999 to December 2002. He founded Stripes Group, LLC in February 2003. He is the Founder and President of Stripes Group and has been Managing Partner since 2008. He is the Founder, Managing Partner, and President of Stripes Group Fund L.P.[10] Fox also was a co-founder of Syndero, a marketer of beauty products, also known as Iconic Labs, LLC, and serves as its Chairman. He is a co-founder of A10 Capital, a commercial mortgage lender. He served as the President and Chief Executive Officer at VTB Holdings, Inc. He served as a Director of Parametric Sound Corp., Epic Advertising, Inc., Technology Leaders II L.P., Commerx, Inc., Onvia Inc., Sword CTSpace, Inc., RightWorks Corporation, NetQuote, and TL Ventures.
