}}Kevin Albert Francis Frederick (born November 4, 1976) is an American former professional baseball player. In nine seasons, Frederick almost always played as a relief pitcher. Frederick attended high school at Stevenson High School in Lincolnshire, Illinois. After graduating from Creighton University, where he was a two-time Missouri Valley Conference all-star, Frederick was drafted in {{By|1997}} in the 17th round of the amateur entry draft by the Minnesota Twins, but failed to reach a contract agreement with the team.[1][2] In the 1998 amateur entry draft, Frederick was again selected by the Twins. He signed with the team, and played four and a half seasons in the minor leagues before being called up in July {{By|2002}}. He made his major league debut on July 15 in a win against the Los Angeles Angels,[3] in which he gave up one run over an inning and two thirds. Frederick only pitched in eight games for the Twins that season. Before the {{By|2003}} season, Frederick was picked up off waivers by the Toronto Blue Jays. Frederick pitched most of two seasons in the minor leagues, and was granted free agency after the {{By|2004}} season. He was signed in the middle of the {{By|2005}} season by the Boston Red Sox. He played two seasons in the Red Sox farm system, and retired after the {{By|2006}} season, only twenty-nine years old. Kevin has recently expressed his hobby for video games and hopes one day he can go pro in counter strike.[1][2] References1. ^1 {{cite web|url=http://www.thebaseballcube.com/players/F/kevin-frederick.shtml |title=Kevin Frederick statistics |work=Baseball Cube |accessdate=2008-08-31 |deadurl=yes |archiveurl=https://web.archive.org/web/20080725231338/http://www.thebaseballcube.com/players/F/Kevin-Frederick.shtml |archivedate=2008-07-25 |df= }} 2. ^1 {{cite web |url= https://www.baseball-reference.com/players/f/fredeke01.shtml |title=Kevin Frederick Statistics |work= Baseball-Reference|accessdate= 2008-08-31}} 3. ^{{cite web|url=http://www.thebaseballcube.com/box/box.asp?G=MIN200207150 |archive-url=https://archive.is/20130203201704/http://www.thebaseballcube.com/box/box.asp?G=MIN200207150 |dead-url=yes |archive-date=2013-02-03 |title=Minnesota Twins 10 Los Angeles Angels 8 |work=Baseball Cube |accessdate=2008-08-31 }} External links{{Baseballstats|br=f/fredeke01|fangraphs=1536|cube=4242|brm=freder001kev}}, or Baseball Almanac, or Retrosheet, or Pelota Binaria (Venezuelan Winter League){{DEFAULTSORT:Frederick, Kevin}} 19 : 1976 births|Living people|Baseball players from Illinois|Cardenales de Lara players|Creighton Bluejays baseball players|Edmonton Trappers players|Fort Myers Miracle players|Gulf Coast Twins players|Major League Baseball pitchers|Minnesota Twins players|New Britain Rock Cats players|New Hampshire Fisher Cats players|New Haven Ravens players|People from Evanston, Illinois|Portland Sea Dogs players|Quad Cities River Bandits players|Reno Silver Sox (Golden Baseball League) players|Syracuse SkyChiefs players|Toronto Blue Jays players |
