BiographyBorn in Detroit, Michigan, Britt was ordained to the priesthood on June 28, 1970 for the Roman Catholic Archdiocese of Detroit. On November 23, 1993, Britt was appointed auxiliary bishop of the Detroit Archdiocese and consecrated on January 6, 1994, aged 49. On December 10, 2002, Britt was appointed coadjutor bishop of the Roman Catholic Diocese of Grand Rapids.
