词条 | Khafif |
释义 |
Al Khafif was the ruler of Mansurah in Sindh. He set up the Soomra dynasty which was the Abbasid Caliphate's functionary in Sindh until the Siege of Baghdad (1258). He was sent from Samarra by the Abbasid Caliphate and thus became known as Khafif Soomra in Sindh. He later switched allegiance to the Fatimid Caliphate due to his Ismaili beliefs. Al Khafif was the founder of the Soomra Dynasty and ruled for 15 years (1011-1026 AD) from Mansurah.[1] He was of Parmar Rajput origin.[2] Scholars concur that Khafif was an Ismaili.[3] The Ismaili are a sect of Shia Islam.[4] See also
