The first recorded match on the ground was in 1926, when the Civil Service cricket team played Australia in a non first-class match.[1] The following year, the ground held its only first-class match when the Civil Service played the touring New Zealanders.[2] This match was also the Civil Service's only appearance in first-class cricket. The ground held a single Second XI Championship match in 1973 when the Middlesex Second XI played the Kent Second XI.[3] During the 1993 Women's Cricket World Cup, the ground held its only Women's One Day International when New Zealand women played the West Indies.[4] The ground is currently used for football by the U19 teams of nearby Brentford.[5] References1. ^{{cite web|url=https://cricketarchive.com/Archive/Grounds/11/415_misc.html|title=Other matches played on Civil Service Sports Ground, Chiswick|last=|first=|date=|website=www.cricketarchive.com|archive-url=https://web.archive.org/web/20160413160739/http://cricketarchive.com/Archive/Grounds/11/415_misc.html|archive-date=13 April 2016|dead-url=yes|accessdate=14 August 2017}} 2. ^{{cite web|url=https://cricketarchive.com/Archive/Grounds/11/415_f.html|title=First-Class Matches played on Civil Service Sports Ground, Chiswick|last=|first=|date=|website=www.cricketarchive.com|archive-url=https://web.archive.org/web/20160303192819/http://www.cricketarchive.com/Archive/Grounds/11/415_f.html|archive-date=3 March 2016|dead-url=yes|accessdate=14 August 2017}} 3. ^{{cite web|url=https://cricketarchive.com/Archive/Grounds/11/415_sec.html|title=Second XI Championship Matches played on Civil Service Sports Ground, Chiswick|last=|first=|date=|website=www.cricketarchive.com|archive-url=https://web.archive.org/web/20160303224508/http://www.cricketarchive.com/Archive/Grounds/11/415_sec.html|archive-date=3 March 2016|dead-url=yes|accessdate=14 August 2017}} 4. ^{{cite web|url=https://cricketarchive.com/Archive/Grounds/11/415_wo.html|title=Women's One-Day International Matches played on Civil Service Sports Ground, Chiswick|last=|first=|date=|website=www.cricketarchive.com|archive-url=https://web.archive.org/web/20160309192335/http://cricketarchive.com/Archive/Grounds/11/415_wo.html|archive-date=9 March 2016|dead-url=yes|accessdate=14 August 2017}} 5. ^{{Cite news|url=https://www.brentfordfc.com/news/2017/august/btec-physiotherapist/|title=Brentford FC Physio required for Elite Development Education Football Programme|last=|first=|date=|work=|access-date=14 August 2017|archive-url=|archive-date=|dead-url=|language=en-gb}} External links
