Trivikrama Rao under the NAT & Ramakrishna Cine Studios banner[2] and directed by D. Yoganand.[3] It stars N. T. Rama Rao, Savitri, Vanisri in the lead roles[4] and music composed by T. V. Raju.[5] The film was recorded as a Super Hit at the box office.[6]

Plot

Rao Bahadur (Nagabhushanam) a multimillionaire lives along with his wife (Suryakantham), two sons, Ramu (Jaggayya) & Ranga (N. T. Rama Rao) and a daughter Shobha (Sandhya Rani), along with son-in-law Shankaram (Padmanabham). Rao Bahadur feels great about himself that he has earned a lot but afterward, realizes at the fag end of life that he lost his family. His wife is always busy in devotional activities, taking it as an advantage, a fake saint Sachidananda (Satyanarayana) settles in their house. The elder son Ramu is a spoiled brat, though he is already married, he left his wife Lakshmi (Savitri) as of her traditional behavior and goes into the trap of a dancer Maala (Vijayalalitha). Younger son Ranga, though good in nature due to situations in the house becomes a drunkard. Lastly, the daughter Shobha is also an ultra-modern women who is always roaming for the late night parties and her husband Shankara is a puppet in her hands. Even the servants in the house do not care or respect anybody in the family, except one loyal servant Musalaiah (Tyagaraju). During that time, the elder daughter-in-law Lakshmi enters the house when her husband asks for a divorce. She agrees to it, but requests him to stay along with her for some time as per law. Ranga gets closer to her sister-in-law and feels motherly affection from her and in her acquaintance, he reforms himself. There onwards, Ranga & Lakshmi try to set the family right, first of all, they bring out the cheatings of servants. After that, they send the Shobha to her in-law's house with Shankaram. Meanwhile, Musallaiah's niece Parvathi (Vanisri) joins as a helper to Lakshmi in household works whom Ranga loves. Now they reveal the reality of Sachidananda as a huge burglar. Parallelly, Ranga dramatizes himself as a film director in disguise and traps Maala, which makes Ramu realize the virtue of his wife. Till Ramu reaches home it is too late, Lakshmi got fed up, she signs on the divorce papers and leaves the house to commit suicide. Ramu moves in search of her. At the same time, Satchidananda makes robbery in their house, Ranga follows them, sees their end and get them arrested. Ramu protects Lakshmi and brings her back. Finally, the entire family is reunited and the movie ends on a happy note, with the marriage of Ranga & Parvathi.
