The class comprised Koningin Regentes, De Ruyter and Hertog Hendrik. DesignThe ships of the class were {{convert|96.622|m|ftin|0}} long, had a beam of {{convert|15.189|m|ftin|0}}, a draught of {{convert|5.817|m|ftin|0}}, and had a displacement of 5,002 ton. The ships were equipped with 2 shaft reciprocating engines, which were rated at {{convert|6500|ihp|abbr=on}} and produced a top speed of {{convert|16.5|kn|km/h}}. The ships had belt armour of {{convert|6|in|cm|abbr=on}}, {{convert|10|in|cm|abbr=on}} barbette armour and {{convert|10|in|cm|abbr=on}} turret armour.
