It lived during the later part of the Botomian stage, which lasted from approximately 524 to 518.5 million years ago. This faunal stage was part of the Cambrian Period.[1] EtymologyThe genus has been named after the Russian paleontologist M.N. Korobov. The species epithet khorbosuonica refers to the Khorbosuonka River (a tributuary of the Olenyok River), in the vicinity of which fossils of this species have been found.[2] References1. ^{{cite journal |last=Sepkoski |first=Jack |authorlink= |coauthors= |title=A compendium of fossil marine animal genera (Trilobita entry) |journal=Bulletins of American Paleontology |volume=364 |issue= |page=560 |publisher= |location= |year=2002 |url=http://strata.ummp.lsa.umich.edu/jack/showgenera.php?taxon=307&rank=class |doi= |id= |accessdate=2008-01-12 |deadurl=yes |archiveurl=https://web.archive.org/web/20060905162524/http://strata.ummp.lsa.umich.edu/jack/showgenera.php?taxon=307&rank=class |archivedate=2006-09-05 |df= }} {{Taxonbar|from=Q6432485}}{{Agnostida-stub}}2. ^{{cite journal|first= I.V.|last= Korovnikov|year= 2007|title= Trilobites of the Suborder Eodiscina from the Lower Cambrian of the Northeastern Siberian Platform (Khorbosuonka River Section)|journal= Paleontological Journal|volume= 41|issue= 6|pages= 614–620|doi=10.1134/S0031030107060044}} 3 : Eodiscina|Cambrian trilobites|Fossils of Russia |
