It is located in the north of the krai. The area of the district is {{convert|2051|km2|sp=us}}.[3] Its administrative center is the rural locality (a selo) of Krutikha.[1] Population: {{ru-census|p2010=11,301|p2002=13,944|p1989=13,738}} The population of Krutikha accounts for 33.7% of the district's total population.
