It sells for €{{nnbsp}}4.70[1] from newsstands for one month,[6] but subscriptions are available{{spnd}}€{{nnbsp}}100 per century[3]{{spnd}}and back issues are €{{nnbsp}}15.[7] 2004 saw the first edition of {{nowrap|La Bougie du Sapeur{{spnd}}Dimanche}}, a special series to be published every {{nowrap|Sunday 29 February}}, which will not occur again until {{update after|2032|02|28|||text=2032}}.[8] Profits from the 2008[9] and 2012[10] editions went to charity. The 2012 edition of the paper featured a story on the end of the Euro which led readers to believe that the paper supported the politics of the far‑right Front{{nbsp}}national; the editor‑in‑chief maintains that the paper is apolitical.[11] The 2016 edition was the first to be sold in Belgium, Switzerland, Luxembourg, and Canada.[11] Management{{As of|2016}}, Jean d'Indy served as editor-in-chief and has worked for the paper since 1992.[1]{{clear}}References1. ^1 2 {{cite web|url=http://www.europe1.fr/medias-tele/la-bougie-du-sapeur-le-journal-du-29-fevrier-sort-son-numero-10-2677774 |title=La Bougie du Sapeur sort son 10e numéro le 29 février |date=26 February 2016 |archive-url=https://web.archive.org/web/20160226181946/http://www.europe1.fr/medias-tele/la-bougie-du-sapeur-le-journal-du-29-fevrier-sort-son-numero-10-2677774 |archive-date=26 February 2016 |dead-url=no |language=fr |publisher=Europe 1 |location=Paris |agency=Agence France‑Presse |df= }} {{Authority control}}{{DEFAULTSORT:Bougie du Sapeur, La}}2. ^1 {{cite web|url=https://www.humanite.fr/node/125514 |archive-url=https://web.archive.org/web/20151207035221/http://www.humanite.fr/node/125514 |archive-date= 7 December 2015 |dead-url=no |date=1996 |language=fr |title=‘La Bougie du Sapeur’, le journal qui tombe avant l’heure |work=L’Humanité |last=F. |first=R. |df= }} 3. ^1 2 {{cite web|url=http://www.france24.com/en/20120229-mediawatch-bougie-du-sapeur-newspaper-once-four-years |title=La Bougie du Sapeur: the world’s least frequent newspaper |work=Media Watch |date=2012 |archive-url=https://web.archive.org/web/20120404003951/http://www.france24.com/en/20120229-mediawatch-bougie-du-sapeur-newspaper-once-four-years |archive-date= 4 April 2012 |dead-url=no |first=James |last=Creedon |publisher=France 24 |location=Paris |df= }} 4. ^{{cite web |url=http://www.editorsweblog.org/2008/02/29/france-la-bougie-du-sapeur-every-29-feb |title=France: La Bougie du Sapeur, every 29 February |work=Presse News |date=2008 |archive-url=https://web.archive.org/web/20151210035748/http://www.editorsweblog.org/2008/02/29/france-la-bougie-du-sapeur-every-29-feb |archive-date=10 December 2015 |dead-url=no |last=Chainon |first=Jean Yves |publisher=Editors Weblog}} 5. ^{{cite web|url=http://rfi.fr/francefr/articles/098/article_63285.asp |title=Bissextile: La Bougie du Sapeur |date=2008 |archive-url=https://web.archive.org/web/20150227164903/http://rfi.fr/francefr/articles/098/article_63285.asp |archive-date=27 February 2015 |dead-url=no |last=Birck |first=Danielle |language=fr |publisher=Radio France International |df= }} 6. ^{{cite web|url=http://www.liberation.fr/medias/2012/02/29/la-bougie-du-sapeur-le-marronnier-du-29-fevrier_799450 |title=‘La Bougie du sapeur’, le marronnier du 29 février |work=Libération |date=2012 |archive-url=https://web.archive.org/web/20151218042517/http://www.liberation.fr/medias/2012/02/29/la-bougie-du-sapeur-le-marronnier-du-29-fevrier_799450 |archive-date=18 December 2015 |dead-url=no |first=Isabelle |last=Hanne |language=fr |location=Paris |issn=0335-1793 |df= }} 7. ^{{cite web|url=http://lagalcante.com/CMS/?option=com_content&id=57 |title=La Bougie du Sapeur |work=La Galcante |archive-url=https://web.archive.org/web/20151210035350/http://lagalcante.com/CMS/?option=com_content&id=57 |archive-date=10 December 2015 |dead-url=no |language=fr |location=Paris |df= }} 8. ^{{cite web|url=http://www.estrepublicain.fr/actualite/2012/02/29/demandez-le-journal |title=Demandez le journal !
