{{BLP sources|date=February 2011}}Leonard Harris is a professor of Philosophy at Purdue University. He also serves as director of the Philosophy and Literature Ph.D. program at the university. He has previously been a member of the graduate faculty, and former Director of African American Studies at Purdue University. He is a specialist in the philosophical work of Alain LeRoy Locke.
