He directed nearly 100 films between 1926 and 1967. His 1936 film Dummy Ache was nominated for an Academy Award in 1936 for Best Short Subject (Two-Reel).[1] His 1937 film Should Wives Work? was also nominated for an Academy Award in the same category.
