Since 1996, INDYCAR events have been held on 42 different tracks – 24 ovals, nine road courses, and nine street circuits – spread across five countries: the United States, Japan, Canada, Australia,{{refn|group=note|name=A|Only non-points-paying exhibition race INDYCAR has held}} and Brazil.
Two new tracks will be used in the 2019 season: Circuit of the Americas and WeatherTech Raceway Laguna Seca, which held a Champ Car race from 1983 to 2004.
