London is the largest city in Southwestern Ontario. In London, there are 16 buildings that stand taller than 70 metres (230 ft). The tallest building in the city is the 24-storey, {{convert|113.4|m|ft|abbr=on|adj=on|0}} One London Place.[1] This is the tallest office building in Ontario outside of Toronto and Ottawa. Originally there were plans to construct a twin tower called Two London Place; however, due to the recession of the early 1990s, this structure was never built. The second-tallest building in the city is City Centre Tower South, standing at {{convert|96|m|ft|abbr=on|0}} tall with 23 storeys. {{As of|2015|07}}, the city contains 13 skyscrapers over {{Convert|80|m|ft|0|abbr=on}} and 136 high-rise buildings that exceed {{Convert|35|m|ft|0|abbr=on}} in height.[2]Additionally, there are 10 high-rises that are planned to reach a height of at least 60 metres under construction, approved for construction, and proposed for construction in London.
