The Royal Philharmonic Society has commissioned new works to composers since 1813,[1] and among the pieces commissioned are Beethoven's Symphony No. 9, Felix Mendelssohn's Symphony No.4 and Antonín Dvořák's Symphony No.8.[1] This is a list of compositions commissioned by the RPS or dedicated to the Royal Philharmonic Society (London) since 1813.[2] {{col-begin}}{{col-break}}1814- L Berger: Overture
