Doctors Community Hospital is located in Lanham.[3] HistoryThe Thomas J. Calloway House was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2005.[4] GeographyAccording to the U.S. Census Bureau, Lanham has a total area of {{convert|9.2|sqkm|order=flip}}, of which {{convert|9.1|sqkm|order=flip}} is land and {{convert|0.05|sqkm|order=flip|2}}, or 0.54%, is water.[5] Government and infrastructurePrince George's County Police Department District 2 Station in Brock Hall CDP, with a Bowie postal address, serves the community.[6]The U.S. Postal Service operates the Lanham Seabrook Post Office in Lanham CDP.[7][8] EducationPrince George's County Public Schools serves Lanham CDP.[8]Residents of the CDP are divided between James McHenry Elementary School and Seabrook Elementary School.[9] All residents are zoned to Thomas Johnson Middle School and DuVal High School.[10][11] There is a private Catholic school, Academy of Saint Matthias the Apostle.[8][12] Other area schools:
