The Longsight International Festival (LIF) was an international cultural festival which celebrated the best of the Longsight area of Manchester. The festival was organised by Life Plus an international NGO and it was supported by Manchester City Council.

LIF was an annual event; the first edition happened in July 2008. The 2nd Festival was due to take place on August 16, 2009.{{update after|2009|8|16}}

2008 festival

The LIF 2008 Festival took place in July 2008 at Longsight Library.

2009 festival

The 2009 edition of the festival was due to take place on Sunday, August 16, at Longsight Market. Longsight's Got Talent was also to be staged for the very first time and aimed to showcase the best of local talent.
