Cilla Black, former host of Blind Date, had been announced as host for the show. FormatAccording to the Daily Mail, the show would have involved one person picking out their date out of three contestants. The three suitors must 'hide' behind a computer generated avatar (alter ego). The avatars will be extensions of what the contestants want to look like. The viewers in the studio and at home will be able to see the avatars live in the studio, interacting with real people. According to The Guardian, the show would have been produced by Standing Stone Productions, based in Newcastle upon Tyne, UK. Creator is Jo Pine, who will executive produce together with Tom Gutteridge, former CEO of FremantleMedia North America and founder of UK production company Mentorn. According to C21, the format has already been sold to Fox in the US, who will be developing it for the US market with Standing Stone Productions/Tom Gutteridge. CancellationDespite the fact a pilot show was filmed in 2008, the show was eventually cancelled in mid-2009 after Sky1 found the production too costly.
