}} Luc Grethen is a composer and musician from Luxembourg. Curriculum VitaeLuc Grethen was born on 1 December 1964 in Luxembourg. He studied music composition, orchestration and conducting at the Conservatoire de Luxembourg, and oboe and English horn at the Conservatoire de Strasbourg and the Royal Conservatory of Mons. Grethen also studied musicology at the University of Strasbourg from 1983–1987, graduating with a master's degree. Since 1990,he has taught at the conservatory of his home town: musical history, and as from 1991 also music education. He writes works for chamber music formations, orchestral and choral pieces.
