It is a sprawling Modernist Movement style structure. The estate began construction in 1935 and went on to inspire the design for the Fallingwater building (made by Frank Lloyd Wright). The restaurant and ballroom closed in the early 1950s.[2] It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1984.[1] References1. ^1 {{NRISref|2009a}} 2. ^{{cite web| url = http://www.arch.state.pa.us/| title = National Historic Landmarks & National Register of Historic Places in Pennsylvania| publisher = ARCH: Pennsylvania's Historic Architecture & Archaeology| format = Searchable database| accessdate = 2009-07-04}} Note: This includes {{cite web| url = {{NRHP-PA|H140515_01H.pdf}}| title = National Register of Historic Places Inventory Nomination Form: Lynn Hall| accessdate = 2009-07-04| author = Clinton Piper| format = PDF| date= September 2006}} External links
