He is immortalised by a statue in the cimetière du Montparnasse in Paris.[1] LifeHe studied at the École des Beaux-Arts, in the studio of Augustin Dumont (1801–1884) and of Joseph-Hugues Fabisch. In 1867, he was elected to the municipal council of Paris.[2] Works
