Maakri is a subdistrict ({{lang-et|asum}}) in the district of Kesklinn (Midtown), Tallinn, the capital of Estonia. It has a population of 979 ({{as of|2014|01|01}}).^[1] In the last decade Maakri has developed into the main business centre of Tallinn. Many high-rise buildings have been built into the area during this period.
