MacKay is a hamlet in west-central Alberta, Canada within Yellowhead County.[2] It is located on the Yellowhead Highway (Highway 16) approximately {{convert|57|km|mi}} east of Edson.

Statistics Canada recognizes MacKay as a designated place.[1]

Demographics

As a designated place in the 2016 Census of Population conducted by Statistics Canada, Mackay recorded a population of 10 living in 7 of its 12 total private dwellings, a change of {{percentage|{{#expr:10-5}}|5|1}} from its 2011 population of 5. With a land area of {{convert|0.02|km2|sqmi|abbr=on}}, it had a population density of {{Pop density|10|0.02|km2|sqmi|prec=1}} in 2016.[3]

In the 2011 Census, Mackay had a population of 5 living in 4 of its 4 total dwellings, a -83.3% change from its 2006 population of 30. With a land area of {{convert|0.01|km2|sqmi|abbr=on}}, it had a population density of {{Pop density|5|0.01|km2|sqmi}} in 2011.[4]
