Data Centre and Hosting

Macquarie Telecom Group owns and runs several data centers as part of its business selling colocation, cyber security, managed services, managed hosting and cloud services to business and government customers. The data centres are located in Sydney and Canberra and are branded by Macquarie Telecom Group as "Intellicentres". Its second Sydney Data Center, Intellicentre 2, was opened September 2012,[13] followed by Intellicentre 4 in July 2013.[14] Intellicentre 4 or IC4 is located in Canberra and was built to support Australian Federal Government agencies. It provides Secure Internet Gateways (SIGs) and Cloud Services across Hybrid IT environments including private cloud computing, cloud storage, networking, backup and disaster recovery.

Macquarie's data centres offer the highest levels of security, reliability and energy efficiency. They are carrier neutral and complement each other by enabling business continuity solutions between each of the Intellicentres to minimise business risk. They are designed to meet global standards with a resiliency[15]{{Better source|reason=per WP:CIRCULAR|date=May 2017}} level of Tier III design certified by the Uptime Institute and are also certified ASIO T4 Intruder Resistant to meet the most stringent customer needs including the federal government of Australia.

With direct connections to the most common public clouds, locally and overseas, means that its customers can bring public cloud[16]{{Better source|reason=per WP:CIRCULAR|date=May 2017}} options to create a hybrid environment with reduced latency and greater LAN speed experiences. As the data centres are Australian owned, Macquarie Group's customers and their users have access to Australian privacy law protections and compliance with Australian laws around managing information. This means that data hosted in Macquarie's data centres is not subject to foreign laws such as the Patriot Act or other such laws.

Macquarie Telecom Group has various International Standards compliance (ISO) certifications related to physical and data security at its data centres. They include ISO 27001/IEC Information Security Management System standard, related to information and physical security, risk management and business continuity and the PCI-DSS 3.2 Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard, related to physical security access to customer equipment.
