The area of the Malinovka River drainage basin is approximately {{convert|6490|km2|mi2}}. The river is {{convert|274|km|mi}} long. The average depth of the river is {{convert|0.8|to|2.0|m|ft}}.[1] There are three hydrologic posts on the river near villages Ariadnoye, Rakitnoye and Vedenka. The longest tributary of the Malinovka River is the Orekhovka River, {{convert|80|km|mi}} long.
