Brizzi married Luigi Giorgi in 1793 and opened a salon, continuing to perform as a pianist in Europe. She was admired as a performer, and Haydn, Muzio Clementi and Leopold Kozeluch dedicated works to her. A military march composed by Brizzi was performed for Napoleon when he passed through Bologna in 1807. She taught music and was member of the Accademia Filarmonica di Bologna.[2] She died in Bologna after childbirth at the age of 36.[3] References1. ^{{cite book |url=https://books.google.com/books?id=IvoQQU1QL_QC&pg=PA87 |title=The Norton/Grove dictionary of women composers|format=Digitized online by GoogleBooks|first=Julie Anne|last=Sadie|first2=Rhian|last2=Samuel|year=1994|accessdate=29 January 2011}} {{-}}{{authority control}}{{DEFAULTSORT:Giorgi, Maria Brizzi}}{{Italy-classical-musician-stub}}2. ^{{cite web |url=http://www.intreccifemminili.com/Eng/Brizzi_E.html|title=Brizzi Giorgi, Maria|author=Barandoni, Stefano|accessdate=29 January 2011}} 3. ^{{cite book |title=What Killed the Great and Not So Great Composers?|first=Joseph W.|last=Lewis, Jr. M.d.|first2=Joseph W.|last2=Lewis, Jr., M.D.|year=2010}} 16 : Classical-period composers|Italian female classical composers|Italian classical organists|1775 births|1812 deaths|Italian music educators|Italian salon-holders|Organ improvisers|Deaths in childbirth|Italian classical composers|18th-century classical composers|18th-century keyboardists|18th-century Italian musicians|18th-century Italian women|Women organists|19th-century women musicians |
