Marisol Grondin (born January 8, 1985) is a Canadian singer and dancer from La Pêche in the Outaouais region of Quebec.

Early life

From the age of four, Marisol made her first appearance on stage and began to take dance classes which she continued for 14 years.

Public appearances

  • Angie Models and Images - Top 16 (1999)
  • Romeo and Juliet - Top 50
  • Star Academy - Top 30 (2005)

Life

After participating in dozens of competitions, Marisol competed in a competition at the Château Laurier hotel in Ottawa for the agency "Angie Models and Images" in 1999. Sixteen people out of just over five hundred were chosen to go to Los Angeles (Hollywood) where they were given vocational training with the Showbizz Greats including international dance, song, theatre and fashion experts. The trip allowed her to compete against artists from around the globe. She returned home with five prizes.

She ranked among the 50 finalists for Quebec women auditioning for the role of Juliette in the musical Romeo and Juliet. After the competition she was offered a recording contract from Suddio Piccolo which is a Montreal studio. Her dream was realized at the age of 15.

Cirque du Soleil offered her a place in their European tour of the show Kidam for a three-year term, but the studio's artistic director took her money. It took her a few years to recover but by the age of 19 she resumed her career goals. In January 2005, she participated in the Star Academy competition. Among nearly 6000 competitors, Marisol was one of the 30 finalists.

She is the owner of a music school called "Unison Musique" and sings throughout the province of Quebec.
