词条 | Marshall Dodge |
释义 |
He and his associate, Robert Bryan (1931-2018), put out several defining albums of Maine humor, starting with Bert & I, released in 1958.[2] In 1964 he and Noel Parmentel published (with accompanying LP record) a long-remembered parody of popular folk songs entitled Folk Songs for Conservatives. During the early-1970s he performed at various clubs around New England, Including Mystic, Ct. In 1976, he founded the Maine Festival of the Arts at Bowdoin College.[3] In a 1979 interview, Dodge claimed that his real love was philosophy, and that he was writing a book on the subject.[4] He died in a hit-and-run accident in 1982 in Waimea, Hawaii.[5] References1. ^Islandport Press biography. 2. ^{{cite news|title= 50 years after 'Bert and I', Maine humor retains its appeal |accessdate= 2013-06-20|url= http://www.seacoastonline.com/articles/20060219-ENTERTAIN-302199975?cid=sitesearch|date= February 19, 2006|work= Portsmouth Herald Accent|location= Portsmouth, New Hampshire}} 3. ^{{cite news|url= http://www.timesrecord.com/website/archives.nsf/56606056e44e37508525696f00737257/8525696e00630dfe05256c8400600d37?OpenDocument|accessdate= 2008-08-11|title= Maine Festival organizer folds|date= December 3, 2002|work= The Times Record|location= Brunswick, Maine}} {{Dead link|date=October 2010|bot=H3llBot}} 4. ^{{cite news|title= MARSHALL DODGE, MAINE HUMORIST,; DIES AFTER HAWAII HIT-RUN ACCIDENT|date= Jan 29, 1982|agency= Associated Press|work= Boston Globe}} 5. ^{{cite news|url= https://pqasb.pqarchiver.com/courant/access/989051292.html?dids=989051292:989051292&FMT=ABS&FMTS=ABS:AI&date=Jan+29%2C+1982&author=&pub=The+Hartford+Courant&desc=Humorist+Marshall+Dodge+Killed+in+Hit-Run+Accident&pqatl=google|title= Humorist Marshall Dodge Killed in Hit-Run Accident|accessdate= 2008-08-08|date= January 29, 1982|work= The Hartford Courant|location= Hartford, Connecticut|page= A18}} External links
