As of the 2010 census it had a population of 215.[2] GeographyLevering is located in northeastern Emmet County, in northern McKinley Township and southern Carp Lake Township. U.S. Route 31 passes through the community, leading north {{convert|11|mi}} to Mackinaw City and south {{convert|6|mi|0}} to Pellston. Petoskey, the Emmet County seat, is {{convert|24|mi}} south on US 31.
