Melbern is a small unincorporated community in western Center Township, Williams County, Ohio, United States. It is situated on County Road 9 south of County Road D.^[1]

History

A post office called Melbern opened in 1866, and remained in operation until it was discontinued in 1961.^[2] First called Kansas, the present name was adopted when the post office was established.^[3]

Geography

Melbern is located at {{coord|41|28|4|N|84|39|4.1|W|type:city}} (41.467, -84.651).^[4] The elevation is 850 feet. Williams County is in the Eastern time zone (GMT -5).
