HistoryA post office called Melbern opened in 1866, and remained in operation until it was discontinued in 1961.[2] First called Kansas, the present name was adopted when the post office was established.[3] GeographyMelbern is located at {{coord|41|28|4|N|84|39|4.1|W|type:city}} (41.467, -84.651).[4] The elevation is 850 feet.
