He played college football for Jacksonville University. College careerHe attended Jacksonville University. While at JU, he played basketball from 1995 to 1998. When his years of basketball eligibility had ended, he walked on to JU's football team, only playing one year. Professional careerJacksonville BarracudasIn 1998, after his college basketball days had ended, he played one season with the Jacksonville Barracudas of the United States Basketball League, while playing for JU's football team and teaching. Jacksonville TomcatsRoss played wide receiver and linebacker for the Jacksonville Tomcats of the AF2 in 2000.[2] Jacksonville JaguarsAfter giving an impressive workout, he was signed to the Jacksonville Jaguars practice squad on October 31, 2001. He was signed to the 53-man roster on December 6, that same year. He was waived by the Jaguars on October 3, 2003. While playing in Jacksonville, he played mostly as a gunner and kick returner. San Diego ChargersOn November 5, 2003, he signed as an unrestricted free agent with the San Diego Chargers. He was released on October 26, 2004. Carolina PanthersOn October 28, 2004, he was signed by the Carolina Panthers. He was released on September 1, 2005, after being placed on injured reserve on August 30. Personal lifeHe attended Andrew Jackson High School from 1990 to 1993. After graduating from JU, he was a teacher for one year, while playing for the JU Dolphins football team. He is currently a teacher at Atlantic Coast High School in Jacksonville, Florida.
