释义 |
The Midnite Jamboree is a radio program launched May 31, 1947 by country singer Ernest Tubb. Falsely billed as "the second longest running radio show in history" (numerous shows from the late 1920s, 1930s and early 1940s remain on the air) behind the Grand Ole Opry, it is recorded from the Texas Troubadour Theatre at Ernest Tubb Record Shop in Nashville, Tennessee each Saturday night at 10:00 p.m. Through a brokered programming arrangement with Ernest Tubb Record Shop, the Jamboree airs two hours after its recording on WSM, immediately following the Opry. (Because the program is brokered, WSM does not list the show on its program schedule.) The program has been hosted by Jennifer Herron since 2004 and features a one-hour country music concert by the show's guest of the week. External links
