词条 | Mineral industry of Seychelles |
释义 |
The mineral industry of Seychelles consists mostly of production of such materials as clay, coral, sand, and stone. Seychelles is not a globally significant mineral producer or consumer. In 2006, imports of mineral fuels accounted for about 27% of the value of total imports.[1] That same year, Seychelles was estimated to produce about 210,000 metric tons per year (t/yr) of gravel and crushed stone, 93,000 t/yr of granite, and 8,100 t/yr of sand.[1] The main commercial producers of these construction materials are Civil Construction Company Ltd., Gondwana Granite, and United Concrete Products (Seychelles) Ltd.; which are all privately owned.[1] References1. ^1 2 The Mineral Industries of the Indian Ocean Islands {{webarchive|url=https://web.archive.org/web/20080921140744/http://minerals.usgs.gov/minerals/pubs/country/2006/myb3-2006-cn-mp-fr-se.pdf |date=2008-09-21 }}; Yager, Thomas R.; "2006 Minerals Yearbook;" U.S. Geological Survey (October 2007); Note: This article incorporates text from this U.S. government source, which is in the public domain. {{Africa topic|Mining in}}{{Seychelles-stub}}{{mining-stub}} 2 : Mining by country|Economy of Seychelles |
