Before the release of The Sneaky Chef, Lapine was publisher of Eating Well magazine">Eating Well magazine.[1] ControversyLapine was involved in a controversy regarding the cookbook Deceptively Delicious, by Jessica Seinfeld, wife of Jerry Seinfeld. On January 7, 2008, Lapine sued Jerry and Jessica Seinfeld for defamation, plagiarism, copyright and trademark infringement in the Manhattan, U.S. District Court.[2] On September 10, 2009, the federal judge on this case threw out the plagiarism claims.
