(formerly MityLite) is based in Orem, Utah with manufacturing operations in Lindsay, Ontario; Kitchener, Ontario; and Lawrenceburg, Tennessee. Founded in 1987 as MityLite™, the company manufactures durable tables and chairs made from materials including ABS plastic, steel, aluminum, Madera Laminate, and Madera Plywood. Product collections include MityLite chairs and tables, XpressPort® carts, Holsag® European beech hardwood chairs, Bertolini® stacking chairs for the worship market, and BRODA chairs for senior living and healthcare. MITY manufactures and sells products for the global, commercial marketplace including banquet, stacking, and folding chairs; portable dance floors; staging; and partitions.[1] In March 1994, MITY Enterprises went public, selling 900,000 shares of common stock at $5.25 per share. The company was listed on the NASDAQ under the ticker symbol MITY.[2] In July 2007, Mity Enterprises merged with Sorenson Capital and Peterson Partners, both Salt Lake City-based private equity firms.[4] Prospect Capital Corp. became the parent company of MITY in September of 2013.
