It is made with peaches that have been peeled and dried. The fruits are left in water overnight, then boiled with sugar and cinnamon. The drink is served cold. In the summer of 2012, Bolivian foreign minister David Choquehuanca urged the citizens of his nation to drink mocochinchi, as an alternative to Coca-Cola, as part of the plan by the administration of President Evo Morales to expel The Coca-Cola Company from Bolivia.[1] See also
