| Year = 1976 | Country = Monaco | Preselection = Internal Selection | Preselection date = | Entrant = Mary Christy | Song = Toi, la musique et moi | Final result = 3rd, 93 points }} Monaco was represented by Italian singer Mary Christy, with the song '"Toi, la musique et moi", at the 1976 Eurovision Song Contest, which took place on 3 April in The Hague. The song was chosen internally by broadcaster TMC. At EurovisionOn the night of the final Christy performed 16th in the running order, following Portugal and preceding France. "Toi, la musique et moi" and its Norwegian counterpart from 1976 are noted as being the first disco songs ever heard at Eurovision. At the close of voting "Toi, la musique et moi" had picked up 93 points, placing Monaco third of the 18 entries, albeit a distant third place, over 70 points behind the United Kingdom's winner and over 50 behind runners-up France. The song did receive a maximum 12 from Luxembourg, and was voted for by all other national juries apart from Greece and – rather strangely – France, to whom the Monegasque jury had awarded their 12 points.[1] See also
